Still fun to speculate. IRod is apparently signed (as reported by a Baltimore news program during the 11 pm news last night). Vlad is still speculation but all signs point to Baltimore being the only one able to ante up the cash to get him. It seems Florida is our biggest obstacle considering their large hispanic population, the "low-spotlight" that Vlad seems to crave, and the front office trying to find "Vlad cash" to get him like they got Pudge last year. But man I hope the O's grab Vlad since he and Tejada are represented by the same agents.

Everyone should note that Miggy only makes about 7 million next year. Now, the Orioles clear up about $18 million in salary next year (Daal, Cordova, Segui, Groom), which allows them to defer Miggy's money. This means that Vlad will be an Oriole. Miggy and Vlad have the same agents, so the agents defered Miggy's money so Vlad could sign with the O's this year.
