Hudson for Soriano would be a horrible deal. Soriano has the chance to be the best reliever in the game. He resembles a young Mariano Rivera. Orlando Hudson is like Jimmy Rollins except he can't steal very many bases.

I agree. Are we still in the Aurillia sweepstakes too?

Probably not, the Mariners have more or less decided that Scott Spiezio will play Third and Carlos Guillen will move back to Short

UPDATE: The Jays don't really see Woodward as an every day SS so the hope is that they can acquire Aurillia as the every day SS. I just finished watching an interview with JP Ricciardi and he said that there is interest and that they have talked to Aurillia's ppl but no offer has been put on the table as yet. JP said it's a 50/50 chance that the Jays get him.

The Blue Jays say Aurilia remains on the top of there wish list, the Tigers are reportedly offering a 2yr $6.mil contract, however, sources close to Aurilia say the Shortstop does not want to switch leagues, or play on artificial turf, which could hamper the Blue Jays in there attempts to sign him.

I presume this comes from rotoworld right? Hmm I gotta check this site out if that's the case.

It's not a huge problem if we don't get him but he would be a nice stopgap til our middle infielders are ready to hit the big leagues.
