Well I already know are GM is an idiot. He tried to trade Carlos Guillen straight up for Omar Vizquel.....ya, he makes me nervous.

Anyhow its good to see him locked up long term. I like the mariners and hes one of the best and most prominent players on the team.

I was never impressed with Bill Bavasi when he was GM of the Angels, i feel sorry for the Mariners, i think in the long run he will do more harm than good.

Reading Rotoworld, it's a 4 year $44 MIL contract, with a 6 MIL signing bonus. So roughly $11 MIL a year, quite a bit of money for a player like Ichiro. Ichiro is a great player, but $11 MIL is quite a bit of money. We'll see how it works out.

I think he's worth it at times. Its strange that he's played just as well as his 2001 year in 2002, and 2003, but he's never had a complete year of playing like he did in 2001. So dumb.

Yes, his threat of stealing bases, how great he makes contact when needed, and his defense all make him worth it most likely. Regardless, I think this was a good thing for Seattle to do, to lock up Ichiro right away.
