Steinbrenner Collapses
I just heard this on Sporting News Radio over the internet. He was attending the funeral of Otto Graham in Sarasota, Fla., and he supposedly collapsed, and was taken to a nearby hospital. I don't necessarily like what he's done as an owner, but I don't wish anything bad on the man. I hope he pulls through....Tags: None -
Re: Steinbrenner Collapses
Last I heard, he was conscious when he checked into the Hospital." I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Re: Steinbrenner Collapses
Whoa! I have the same sentiments, however I read some interesting insights about Steinbrenner from a guy who used to work for him in his horse racing days in Pompano Beach. Steinbrenner has always been an enigma in that he's about doing WHATEVER it takes to win but he can be one of the nicest guys in the world. I hope it's nothing too serious.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Steinbrenner Collapses
I guess that can be seen in the fact that he gave Doc Gooden and Darryl Strawberry jobs in the hopes of getting their lives together. Although there is a small part of me that thinks that Steinbrenner kinda uses that to thumb his nose at the Mets, like "Here I gotta take care of YOUR players." But it is a great gesture on his part.
I heard that he's doing fine at the hospital, now they're saying that he "fainted" instead of "collapsed".Comment
