    Reds sign right-hander Cory Lidle

Still won't save the Reds from out of the bottom of the NL.

If he doesn't hide an injury and they use him properly than he can rebound from a bad 2003 season. If they don't well......A once very promising career has gone down the drain.

Glad another team took him and not the Padres. Heard rumors.

A Bad 2003 season? Did you even watch him the first 3 months? If I'm not mistaken he lead the entire major league in wins at one point, with at least 2 or 3 more than the runnerup. It was only then that he took a complete turn south and never even got back to anywhere close to where he was at the start. He looked good, REAL good, for the first month or two. It's after that you have to watch out for.

When he lead the league in Wins, Sports Illustrated compared him to Mike Maroth. They had almost identical ERA and WHIP, but Lidle was like 8-2 and Maroth was like 2-8. Wins are overrated man.

                            agreed - you could be 17-10 w/ a 5 ERA or 2-20 w/ a 3 ERA..
