Well for the Yankees they better hope they get the Tony Clark that hit 16 HR for the Mets last year,
and not the Tony Clark that stunk it up for Boston two years ago.Comment

Tony Clark sucks anyways. The Yanks spent all that money on a guy who's a career .268 AVG and .344 OBP and hasn't hit more than 20 HRs since 1999. His numbers are pretty bad for a 1st baseman.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

This is crap. The Yankees just buy whomever they want.

Well, that may be true, since the Yankees have so much money. But I mean, this is only Tony Clark. Really, any team could have afforded him.
And yes, he didn't have a great year last year. Outside of the HR and RBI, his average was very low. But, seeing as he used to be a really good hitter, he's a solid pickup, since he's only being used as a backup, and does have power and hit quite a bit of HR in limited action last year. Maybe he can pick up the average again too......but maybe that's asking too much, LOL. Anyhow, if the Yanks do have to start Clark due to injury, that's when I'll start to worry some. Unless of course, he does well. Hopefully the Yanks won't have to worry about that, and only have to use Clark to give Giambi a day off.
