I must say though that adding Choo to an already nice outfield and hoping our #1 picks develop quickly this team may actually contend for playoffs in a year or two
With what pitching staff do you intend to contend for the playoffs with?

NOOOOO…so sad. I loved Jerry…the Colonel. I noticed he had been doing fewer and fewer games the past few years and when he was in the booth he wasn't himself. Very sad, but a true hero who lived a wonderful life. RIP, Colonel.

Very sad news. I've heard interviews with him in the past and he seemed like a great guy. It's a shame that he spent his broadcasting career out west and with a team that hasn't had the most success so he's not widely known amongst the general fans but he's well respected in the baseball community.

Coleman also had a respectable career with the Yankees as a ballplayer. Coleman also predated a fad from the late '90s by being hired out of the broadcast booth to manage the Padres in 1980.

                R.I.P. to a legend.

I read somewhere (not from a source I fully trust though) that Tanaka is likely going to be a Mariner or Diamondback.

Take that for what it's worth.

                      Am I reading this wrong?

40 hitting ability potential. Yet an all star caliber player?

Maybe it's a short stop thing. Guess it was before the rise of the offensive shortstop.

That scout should have been fired.

I don't even play fantasy baseball but I always buy 'em just because of the info in 'em.
Yesterday I bought 4 of 'em for 2014:
Sporting News, Lindy's, USA Today's & Baseball America's fantasy guide.

(To no one in particular)- Today I noticed the D'Backs spring training report day for pitchers & catchers is February 6. I can't ever remember seeing such an early report date.
