The deal is not done yet, according to Gonzalez' agent the Royals are one of three teams still said to be interested in the Outfielder, but did say the Royals are the front runners to sign him.

Vladimir Guerrero - Angels

Just read Gammons' article on ESPN.com and it said that the Orioles are in the running for Maddux. It would be interesting if Baltimore signed Maddux, Ponson, and maybe even Pudge. That would make things in the AL East look a lot more interesting. Too bad with all these possible additions the O's could still finish 4th in the division, most likely 3rd if these deals go through.

That would make things in the AL East look a lot more interesting. The Herald also said free-agent outfielder Raul Mondesi told a Puerto Rican newspaper he was close to a deal with the Marlins, but a league source said there was no truth to that statement.
