Let me get this straight....

Pete Rose is going to admit that he bet on baseball and the Reds, and then he's going to be reinstated?

Isn't betting on baseball the reason he was banned? Why would you let him back for admitting it after lying for 14 years?

Should he be in the Hall of Fame for his playing days? Yes. Should he be reinstated? Absolutely not.

How many Reds game did he throw to win a bet? You mess with the fabric of the game, and you are out forever.

i couldn't agree more. fortunately for pete rose, we live in a world of increasing moral relativism, which he's taking advantage of to create sympathy for himself. i respect him for the hard-nosed baseball player that he was, but that has been overshadowed by his lack of respect for the integrity of the game just for his personal gain.

He was my favorite player as a kid. And I forgive him. But that does not mean I take him back in to the game. He can just sit quietly in the corner from here on.

He should be in the HOF for his play. His plaque should detail his amazing career, but it should also explain his ban from the game as a manager.

i could care less about rose...but he got his son blacklisted and thats not fair...the boy is a decent player and deserves his hot

Well I think Pete Rose deserves the HOF I was looking at baseball records the other day and the man's hit record is so far out there that it will NEVER EVER be broken. At least not in my lifetime.

Erod we wouldn't be having this controversy if Bart Giamatti hadn't dropped dead. As there was a back room deal that Rose would serve a couple year bannishment and they would review the case on which point he would be reinstated.

I think that Rose will get reinstated due to moral relativism and he'll probably be able to manage too even tho I don't think he should be fully re-integrated in baseball again. We live in an age where we just love those who ask for forgiveness. Just look at Slick Willy Clinton and Jimmy Swaggert
