I'm guessing Ty Cobb because I know he played for a long time and probably had a lot of errors in the OF.

It's an educated guess, but yes. I am not certain, therefore it is a guess. I remember he either led the majors or the AL in errors for an OF. I thought looking it up was cheating?

Ty Cobb is the AL leader but not the all time ML leader..

Its such an obscure answer to the question.

Anyway, if you got a new one, fire away.
Or anyone else for that matter.

OK, I'll toss one out there since I knew the Gore thing because I had looked it up earlier. I really doubt anyone could've got that without looking it up, or that anyone even knew who George Gore is. The whole error leaders is so skewed toward ancient players, it's not even funny anyway.

OK, in honor of the MLB All Star Game later today...this one's a bit of a two-parter...

What is the most runs ever scored by one side in a single game at the MLB All Star Game? What year did that happen in? (If it's happened more than once, any one of the years will do).

This one should be doable without looking it up is my hope....

2 times, both by AL and 13 runs were scored. 1983 Chicago, and 1998 Colorado. Remembered that from a bored game I played last week.

Yep, it is 13 runs. It's actually been done 3 times, all by the AL:

All-Star Game history, All-Star Game records, All-Star Game box scores, and comprehensive All-Star Game rosters by Baseball Almanac.

In addition to the 1983 (at Comiskey) and 1998 games, it happened in 1992 at the Padres old Jack Murphy Stadium. The AL won 13-6. Junior Griffey was MVP of that game going 3 for 5 with a homer. Tom Glavine started for the NL.

                            How's this for a lineup...

                            1 - Robby Alomar
                            2 - Wade Boggs
                            3 - Kirby Puckett
                            4 - Joe Carter
                            5 - Mark McGwire
                            6 - Cal Ripken Jr.
                            7 - Ken Griffey Jr.
                            8 - Sandy Alomar Jr.
                            9 - pitcher

                            You're up...

The award was introduced in 1962, and Maury Wills of the Dodgers was the first recipient of the award.
