Re: Baseball Trivia (DONT ASK A QUESTION UNTIL YOU ANSWERED THE PREVIOUS ONE CORRECTL
Cool. Pays to be a Cubs fan...when Dusty was managing the Cubs, he would work having been teammates of Hammerin' Hank into more press conferences that he probably needed to. Without that, I think of Baker as a Dodger, and probably would've said something stupid like Dale Murphy or Graig Nettles.
OK, so keeping on with the theme of Hank Aaron...
Hank Aaron was the all-time HR leader from the time he hit 715 (in 1974) to the time **Barry Bonds** broke the record in 2007. Interestingly, Bonds hit over 50 HRs only once (73 in 2001) and Hank Aaron never hit 50 or more HR in a single season.
What was the most HRs Aaron hit in a season? And what year was that?
As a hint, Hank Aaron led the league in HRs 4 times, but this was not one of them--he was 2nd to Willie Stargell.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I would think that Jose Lima is one half of that. Not sure about the other guy. I'll leave it for someone else to get both.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

OK, since this is 2 days old, and I already looked it up, I'll go with this: Pedro Astacio of the Rockies and Brian Anderson of the D'Backs both gave up 39 to co-lead the majors in '98.
Jose Lima (my original guess) was tied for 6th with 34. David Wells had 29. Astacio would lead the NL again in 1999 with 38, though Lima knocked him off in 2000 with an amazing 48 HRs allowed.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

One pitcher that comes to mind at serving up meatballs was Eric Milton, although I believe he emerged in the early 2000's to take that honor.Comment
