This one's a tough one, but as someone who's read a little bit about Pete Rose, I got this. No, Pete Rose isn't one of them; Brooks Robinson and Carl Yaztremski is the answer. But the interesting thing is in the 1970 game, when Yaz won MVP though the AL lost, it was Pete Rose (playing that ASG in Cincy that year) who ****ed up catcher Ray Fosse to score the walkoff run in the 12th. Fosse dropped the ball, was injured, and was never the same after. That's what many remember most.

I guess it makes sense also since the NL used to be the dominant league, but Brooks and Yaz were always on the AL team back then.

OK, so next question. Let's try this--a fill-in-the-blank...

In 1993, southpaw ____________ becomes the second of only two pitchers, along with Rick Reuschel, to give up a home run to both Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds when the Giants' left fielder takes him deep for the lone run he gives up in the Mets' 3-1 victory at Candlestick Park. In 1976, Hank Aaron, finishing his career with the Brewers, hit a three-run homer, the 748th of his then-record 755 round-trippers, off the left-hander, who was pitching for the Angels at the time.

So a lefty pitching for the Angels in 1976, but the Mets in 1993. Can anyone fill in the blank and name that lefty?

Looks like I barely beat you out.

What pitcher holds the record for most pitching appearances? BONUS: What two teams (and years) did he win the World Series with?

Hmmmm...was thinking Jesse Orosco at first, BUT he ain't won no 2 World Series.

So, I'm a bit stumped, but let's give it a guess...Hoyt Wilhelm? For the teams, geez, Orioles and Giants? (this is really a big, fat guess)

LOL. Dangnabbit! It is Orosco, I forget he was on the '86 Mets too! Always thought of him as a Dodger.

Well, I guess I kinda won that one.....

I'll go ahead with the next one then...

OK, so Jesse Orosco the former Met got the last out of the 1986 World Series win over the Boston Red Sox. The only other World Series win for the Mets was in 1969 over the Baltimore Orioles. What Mets pitcher got the final out of that series?

I believe Jerry Koosman went the distance in the clinching game, so yeah, him.
