    Indeed. You are up.

I like seeing honest guesses on here, because so often it's just guys looking it up and passing it off like they knew it. Nice attempt.

Awesome...I'm surprised that was right. Just went with a guy I knew played 3 decades and was on a team that played in a WS in each decade.

Let's stick with a WS theme. Everyone knows that Don Larsen is the ONLY guy to throw a no-no or perfect game in the WS. Who came the closest to a WS no-hitter without getting it?

I was thinking it was 2010 that the Yankees won it, and I realized it was 09 a little late. Pettite I know has won in the 90's 2000, and 2009. I was also thinking Schilling and Clemens.

            I am guessing Whitey Ford.

Roy Halladay since he's the only other player to throw a no-hitter in the playoffs.

World Series...not playoffs. So no, Halladay, doesn't count.

The joke was that he's the only other person to even throw a no-hitter in the playoffs, which is closer to the WS than the regular season is. Sorry, thought the would make it obvious I was joking.

Ah, I thought the ducking the tomato was that you thought it was a DOH on my part for thinking it was the only no-no, got it now.

No, I'll take the game and year if folks aren't sure of the pitcher. It's a pretty famous game, to be honest.

Nope...I'll give a hint. It occurred BEFORE the Larsen game.
