Tanaka and Maddux? Just a wild guess really. I think one of them was this season but can't remember who.

      No on both of them.

Tanaka came really close, though. I know a few other players that have come close to doing it, but I can't think of who has at this moment.

I knew it had to be Johnson, Pedro was my next guess after Darvish.

I'll try the King of K's, Nolan Ryan?

                There's actually more.

                - Randy Johnson (1999, 5 straight games)
                - Pedro Martinez (1998, 4 straight games)
                - Nolan Ryan (1973, 4 straight games; 1991 5 straight games)
                - Steve Carlton (1983, 4 straight games)
                - Roger Clemens (1988, 4 straght games)

I'm sure it's been done more than that as well.

No one comes to mind right now, but that's gotta be pretty early in baseball history right?

The man, Rod Carew. Early 70's. 71 or 72 maybe? It was when he was still young.

I'll count it. It was 72. That was the only time in his career that he didn't hit any home runs.
