I heard it on the Score tonight at around 6:15cst. Don't know the specifics, but it was a 2yr. deal. C'mon Greg just sign it and come home for the 300th win.

Hmmm, THe Score? Not real credible, but I would love to See Maddux back in Chicago. IF they offered him comparable money to Clemens I hope he will take it. i don't think any one will give him the 10mill he wants.

Well, there will be a Central team aside from the Cards who will make a trip on the redline worthwhile.

It would be great if it was Maddux vs. Clemens several times.

I heard reports that it's a 2 year/14 million dollar deal. If that's the case, he should take it. I don't foresee him getting a better deal. If so, the Braves screwed up. They should have made that kind of offer.

Yah that would seem to be a reasonable offer, given his age. I might actually get excited if this happens, but then again probably not.

That sounds pretty reasonable and if Maddux still wants more out of the deal i'm sure the Cubbies could add incentive clauses. I'm not a big Cubs fan or anything but I have an infatuation with lovable losers. I think this would be a sweet and wonderful return to where it all started for Maddux.

Besides it would really cement him as a genuine good guy. You rarely see guys end their careers with the team they first started out with.
