Yankees = oldest team in the league. Number 2? the Blue Jays.

Yankees have a middle of the pack farm system (10 according to Keith Law, 14 on minorleaguebaseball.com). Blue Jays have a bottom of the barrel farm system (22 according to milb, 24 according to Keith Law). This is with ManBan and Jose Campos getting hurt last year and hurting our ranking. A lot of fanbases can make fun of the Yankees for being old and having a bad farm system, the Blue Jays aren't one of them.
This is the last on this topic i'll talk about but the Blue Jays farm system the last few years has been middle of the pack/in the upper half. The system is in transition for sure but I trust AA to restock it while the current incarnation of the big league club is playing right now.

Don't necessarily have the same hopes for the Yankees though.

I guess we'll see how things track in the next few years huh?

        That we will.

You said this is the last you'd say, but I'm curious as to why you don't have the same hopes for the Yankees given that we've actually had success with players coming from our system?

Well if my feeling is correct that the Yankees will have a really bad season there could be pressure on Cashman to try to go with a quick fix rather than the slower and more fruitful plan of calling up prospects and sprinkling in some veterans who don't come with baggage.

Like I said, we'll see what happens and if i'm wrong well then i'm sure you'll never let me forget it LOL

The Yankees are having some trouble with closing out the top of the 2nd inning.

Anthony Rizzo just murdered a baseball to deep center field in Pittsburgh.

No I did not. The announcers on ESPN are slobbering all over him though. They've said his name about 50 times since his at bat.

Hilarious because he didn't hit a HR in ST and everyone was worried...
