            Because they did not offer him salary arbitration, if a player is not offered arbitration they cannot negotiate with there former team until may 1st,
            so if any deal is in place for Pudge to return to the Marlins it wont be official until may.

                              I'd rather not, pudge was good last year but for a team that has only 4 pitchers ready to go maybe they should spen the money on a pitcher...and i dont think Dontrelle is gonna make it as a starter, and there banking on burnett and tejera and thats just not gonna happen. so they should go after a pitcher like Rick Reed, John Burkett, or even Greg Maddux...but thats just what i think.
