Why deny yourself something you enjoy? What does it prove?

I don't recall too much being affected by the 94 strike as far as baseball video games went. The only difference is that the games were released a couple months later than they usually would. Both Triple Play '96 and WSB '95 came out in May-June 1995.
Of course, that is because the strike ended on the eve of the season opener in '95. It all depends on when it gets settled.

I don't really understand those who say they won't buy any baseball games if they strike. Why does it matter? Like FatPitcher said, MLB and the MLBPA get their money from the licensing deals whether people buy the games or not, so you are not going to be hurting anyone but the manufacturers, producers and retailers. Why not just play a game that you have fun with, regardless of anything else?

If the Screen Actor's Guild had went ahead with their planned strike last year would you have stopped watching all your favorite movies and tv shows? I highly doubt it.

Just have fun with the games and activities you like and quit trying to be crusaders. I am getting tired of all the Ralph Nader minions.

Good point Cook, why make your self suffer to prove a point? I don't like going to games becasue of the expense. Maybe 1 per year. Not buying a game would be a little drastic.

                D'oh!

I meant to say, "If High Heat comes to the Xbox, no."

If WSB makes some big changes (knowing VC, it will), I will look into that game too. But as far as right now, HH is the only baseball game I want.

So no, I will not stop buying baseball games. I will never stop buying baseball games...or football...or basketball.

Yeah, High Heat on XBOX sounds pretty good to me.

I will buy High Heat Baseball 2004 no matter what happens with reference to the current dispute between the Union and the owners. Hopefully 3DO will make an XBOX version, but if not, I will buy the PS2 version. Baseball is North America's favorite sport and nothing else comes close. It is the only sports game where the rules have NOT changed significantly over many many years.
