Why? I've seen the Brewers projected to contend in the division. There are plenty of other reasons why Chicago will lose 100 games.

Bucholz worked Adam Jones in that AB. 2-1 inside change up, 3-2 inside curve neither pitch was 80 mph. He is dealing.

You clearly haven't been following the Brewers. Injuries, injuries, injuries. Braun is banged up. No Ramirez, Hart, Gamel. Three starters out and their best player is dealing with neck spasms. I mean I would say the Cubs lineup is just as good as the Brewers lineup right now. Another reason being? The Astros are no longer in the division and that will hurt their total. But honestly if you aren't going to compete might as well and try to be the worst team in the majors. Get a better draft pick

Braun is fine (2-2 today already), Ramirez is only on 15-day, Hart will be back in a month or so, and Gamel is terrible anyways. Aoki is playing great, as was Segura, who is inured now, but will be back in days...

I can see your reasoning if the season was only a month long, but we are just doing our jobs as rivals

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not saying the Cubs are going to be as good as the Brewers all season. But right now it is pretty even. Aoki is having a great game and so is Braun. But he was wincing a little after his first hit. Gamel is worse than the backup catcher they got over there now? lol he has 3 rbi but

That's what I was thinking. The Brewers have been a better team than the Cubs for awhile now. But Cubs fans still act like they lord over the Brewers or something. It's actually an attitude I notice out of Chicago for most things Milwaukee.

And I'm not picking on you, jseward. I just spend time in both cities, and it's what I observe as a neutral.

The Brewers are clearly better than the Cubs once they get everyone back and going. I'm not from Chicago either. But for awhile? The Brewers have definitely been better since 2010 but not the couple of seasons before that.

It's definitely not my preferred offense because if nothing's working that day, forget it. It's dangerous, especially in a (ugh) one game playoff scenario. But like you said, as long as we keep winning.

This team is pretty damn fun so far. Boys look like they're enjoying themselves.

My fantasy team of Freddie freeman and Justin Upton says otherwise.

I have multiple Braves offensive players on my fantasy teams and I couldn't give even the slightest ****s about my fantasy teams if it means my real team is winning.

Kevin Slowey, Wade Leblanc, and Alex Sanabia are pitching against the Braves. I'll be shocked if the Braves strikeout once.

Hanrahan comes in and gives up a solo shot to the Monster. Luckily it's still 3-1 with 2 outs left in the game.

And the Sox win the home opener!

All the talk about the Braves strikeout rate, and they're still dwarfed by the Astros whiffability.

You see the Astros are striking out a ton and losing whereas the Braves are winning.

Cubs running up the white flag now (and not the one with the big "W" on it, either) as Marmol comes into the game in the 8th.

And promptly serves up a double to Braun.
