My reaction and the reaction of every Yankee ***** in the world: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

*ahem* WTF was he doing playing basketball!!?? Seriously these guys don't think about themselves too much when they do these things do they? This kinda does put the Yanks in a bind as everyone knows the Yanks will be looking for a 3B but honestly there aren't that many great 3B around and the really good ones are locked up long term with their teams.

The Yanks don't exactly have much to give in trade.

Oh well that's not my headache however i'm sure Bonnie boy is getting blasted all over NYC radio.

Another thing, there's a clause in his contract that says that if he got hurt playing basketball, his contract becomes non-guaranteed.

Alfonso is an interesting possibility. After his dissapointing season last year, the Giant might not mind unloading his contract. However, I have no idea who they would replace him with, Pedro Feliz perhaps? Or is he taking over for Cruz in right? I can't imagine the Yanks having any confidence in Drew Henson.

Alfonzo could be a very strong possibility to go the Yankees, the Giants would love to have him off the books, as for Pedro Feliz, he is expected to platoon with J.T. Snow at 1B, Michael Tucker is expected to see the majority of the playing time in RF, with Jeffery Hammonds and Dustin Mohr also getting some time.

This isn't a big loss for the Yankees, and I think he could easily be replaced. The team did sign Miguel Cairo, although he isn't an everyday player he can pretty much play every position. But they'll probabily bring in another big name to replace him.

rj: No he's not asked to sit around all off-season but he shouldn't be playing a sport in a competitive setting where he could end up getting injured and as another poster mentioned there's a clause in his contract about it.
