Re: Aaron Boone possibly out for \'04 season

The latest is that we signed Tyler Houston. He played for the Phillies last year. I have no clue who he is.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
- Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

He was a utility player for Philly - came up a catcher w/ the Braves back in 96 (bounced around the league since then) .. last year he was one of the players that was outspoken about Larry Bowa & wanted him ousted..

Houston is a nice little role player- not an everyday guy by any stretch. If they do bring in a 'full-time' player, they have Houston's lefty bat off the bench, which will help. He's always been a solid hitter in his career, but not sure about his defense.

The Dodgers may not be willing to deal Ventura, seeing as how he could end up the regular 1B in L.A., but then again, Maybe if the Yankees trade cash ($430,000,000) for Ventura, the Dodgers might take the deal.
