It's now official that LA signed Lima, but they say it's a minor league contract.

Re: Look out Hollywood...it\'s Lima Time!!!
The Astro Dome probabily could make any pitcher look good because it was a pitcher park. MMP totally ruined Lima. I hope he does good with the Dodgers though.Comment

Re: Look out Hollywood...it\'s Lima Time!!!
Lima is a pretty good pitcher and he did have somewhat of a comeback season with the Royals last year but he fell off the table down the stretch with injuries and ineffective starts. Now Kauffman stadium is no sandbox so if he can't pitch good there in pressure situations then he's done done.
However I think he could do well in LA where the fanbase is the definition of fairweather and the park is HUGE. It's still one of the best pitchers parks in all of MLB. I wish him the best.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Look out Hollywood...it\'s Lima Time!!!
According to rotoworld...
"Dodgers signed RHP Jose Lima to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training. Lima really should have taken Kansas City's offer a couple of months ago. Los Angeles would seem to be a great place for him to pitch, but he should be no better than seventh or eighth in line for a rotation spot. He should only make the Dodgers if injuries strike. "
Doesn't sound like hes even gonna get much of a chance in the rotation, unless a few injuries. I do hope he gets a chance though, and succeeds.Comment

Re: Look out Hollywood...it\'s Lima Time!!!
I think Lima stands a better chance at making the Dodgers than anyone thinks, The Dodgers are going to have to win with pitching, seeing as how they are not going to be able to score runs again this year, his main competition are Darren Dreifort, who for the life of him can't stay healthy, rookie Edwin Jackson and Wilson Alvare, Alvarez will likely make the team out of the bullpen,
should Lima have excepted the Royals offer, probably, but he didn't, so for now, he's a Dodger.Comment
