The Sporting News is also reporting this, the deal is actually a good deal for all involved,
the Yankees get what they need (Glaus), the White Sox get what they want, a starter and a CF, (Washburn, Erstad), and the angels get a pair of stop gap players, (Konerko, Valentin) and some prospects, and the Angels keep Ramon Ortiz, who i believe could be a number 1 starter on many teams,
no one really has anything to lose in making this trade, so this deal may very well happen,
the funny thing about this trade is, it wouldn't be the first time Erstad's been traded to the White Sox.

I think that if the White Sox got Washburn and Erstad, it makes them a contender in there division. since it is a pretty weak division.

Well, I still can't find an article about it, but I believe they exist. It would seem more likely to me that the Yanks would get Valentin for their minor leaguers then Glaus... or maybe I'm just over-rating Glaus. But I wouldn't doubt the Yankees ability to aquire a valuable player for virtually nothing.

Aaron Boone seems to think his season isn't over. However, if he has surgery he will not be back until around late July. Does Steinbrenner think he can win from here until then with Enrique Wilson or Miguel Cairo? Still no word on whether or not Boone actually tore his ACL.

Right now, i don't think the Yankees will make any moves untill they know for sure, that said, i think the yankees will want to be careful with who they get, i don't think they will want to add a long term contract, because, most likely if Eric Chavez hits the free agent markey next year the Yankees will be one of the teams bidding for him.
