    McCourt is now in session

The MLB owners unanimously approved the sale of the Los Angeles Dodgers to Boston real estate developer Frank McCourt, McCourt bought the Dodgers for the hefty sum of $430,000,000 million dollars, the second highest price ever paid for a Baseball franchise,
McCourt said "i intend to restore the glory days of Dodger Baseball with a team worthy of support by our fans,we've commited not just to buy this team, but to win a world championship",
The Dodgers have not reached the post season since 1996, and have not won a post season game since 1988.
with sale hanging in limbo over the past three months, the Dodgers have been able to do very little this offseason, trading Kevin Brown, and signing mostly minor league contracts, Bubba Trammell is the only free agent the team has signed to a guarenteed contract,
McCourts wife Jamie will be vice chairmen of the team, meanwhile McCourt would not comment on the fates of GM Dan Evans and Manager Jim Tracy, both are under contract for this season.

There is a lot of work to be done to restore the Dodgers to being a competitive team, they not only have to build the Major League team, but also have to rebuild the farm system, something that was once the Dodgers greatest strength.

Maybe this guy will move them back to Brooklyn.

Hey, who owned the Dodgers previously?... they were crappy owners whoever they were.

I thought MLB had strict local ownership rules? Wait never mind one of the great rules of baseball ownership went down the drain when Buddy boy took over.

BTW the last owner was Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox and all the various Fox properties.

It would be cool if McCourt moved the Dodgers back to Brooklyn but it'd never happen

I would imagine I speak for most baseball fans when I say... good riddance.

                Or maybe I don't.
