His absolute refusal to rest players and his stubbornness of putting Michael Young in the lineup everyday eventually cost the Rangers the division. He's the same guy that PH Esteban German in crucial situations in the World Series. He's the guy that brought Darren Oliver in to close out a World Series when he could've given Neftali Feliz another chance to close it out.

He's one of the worst managers in the American League, and he's the reason his bullpen is already getting burnt out. He's already riding Ortiz, Scheppers, and Ross into the ground. Thankfully Soria and Feliz will be able to come in later in the year to take some of the load off those guys. And yes, with 2 outs in the 8th inning, in the most high leverage AB of the game, I would've brought Joe Nathan in for the last out of the 8th, and kept him in for the 9th.
So he's been to 2 WS in the past 3 years, and they are off to a blazing start this year, and you think firing him is the right move. And who exactly are you replacing him with?

Yeah bring in Nathan in the 8th sit him and bring him back out in the 9th. Brilliance. Maybe 10 years ago and pre Tommy John that makes sense. Especially considering he pitched yesterday.

Of course most 3B would have fielded it cleanly without having to leave their feet and made it a routine play.

He looks so clumsy out there, like the 3B equivalent of Winnie the Pooh. I love the man, but damn he looks goofy even when making a great play.

After I saw this I watched the video. The only thing I can compare Miggy to is a teddy bear flopping around the baseball diamond, where a baseball happens to pop out of the teddy bear and go to first base on time. I mean seriously.

Darvish had 14 k's yesterday, adding to his major league lead.

It's quite fun watching him pitch.

What a game in KC...blown game for Shields.

Unacceptable for the Royals to blow that game Shields pitched.

Please make a new thread so we can leave this game buried with the old one. DAMNIT!
