It was truly the Bautista show today. Good win for the Jays and the first series victory against the Rays in 16 series.

BTW it seems like the "TB" on Fernando Rodney's cap is askew.

Wasn't dominating? He was striking out 9.52 guys per nine and walking less than 1. I saw a scouting report recently that stated he couldn't learn anything else by staying in the minors.

He got tagged a little bit in two of his first three starts at Bowie (4 IP, 4 ER and 6 IP, 5 ER).

But like I said, he should almost definitely pitch better than Garcia, Jurrjens, and whoever else the O's have tried as their #5. Throws 94-97 with movement, decent slider, and a ridiculously good changeup...10 MPH difference between that and his fastball and it has ridiculous tilt to it.

I just realized that the in the last two games, all of the runs the Orioles scored were via home runs.

This is Gausman's locker. If you don't know, he eats 2-3 mini powdered donuts between each half inning.




I really do feel like the guy from the Budweiser commercial that gives away the Clydesdale, except Gausman is my horsie.

How random. The Cubs feed on MLB.tv randomly switched to Rogers Centre and what I think was Toronto taking BP.

And why does donut guy need so many? If he eats 3 every half inning, that's maybe 50-60 a game. He's got a thousand or more there. They do go stale... unless he plans on stress eating after Jose gets ahold of him

So MASN explained the donut pic. He doesn't eat donuts anymore is what it sounds like, probably because the O's don't want a future pitcher turning into Badlands Booker. All those donuts were a joke done by teammates.

Yeah. Back story is he used to hate playing during the day as a kid so the coaches let him have a treat. He actually stopped doing it in the minors after some team nutritionists talked to him, but I don't think that will keep up.
