Realism and Technology in Baseball games

What technology or new features should be added to console baseball games to make it more realistic? I'll give categories and you guys give ideas to improve these areas:

    1) Fielding
    2) Hitting
    3) Pitching
    4) Create-A-Player Mode
    5) Franchise Mode

I'm basing these categories on ASB but if anyone wants to base it on another game its fine. Here's my thoughts:

    1) Fielding: Add the ability to move any position player wherever you want on the field -- ex. moving an outfielder into the infield

    2) Hitting: (this idea is based on ASB) Higher tendency to foul pitches back, making timing very important, and less HRs.

    3) Pitching: (this idea is based on ASB) More walks, meaning less accuracy.

    4) Create-A-Player Mode: (based on ASB) Different faces, facial hair, and body types.

    5) Franchise Mode: (based on ASB once again) Increase free agent pool and add a draft.

Hopefully one of the producers of a game like ASB can see this

Do you mean like creating some sort of funky shift where an outfielder comes in to the infield? I've never seen that before... you can play an outfielder at any position you choose, though... I adjusted my lineups one season and put Sheffield at 1st base. He did pretty good.

More foul balls would be nice, I guess. I never really notice how many I'm hitting in a game. I do tend to hit more in 2P because the pitches get more mixed up.

If you want less accuracy while you're pitching in ASB, all you have to do is turn the ball indicator and vibration off. You'll never really know where the ball is going, but you'll have a general idea. As for the CPU pitching, they do pitch in the zone alot, but I get a few walks here and there against them.

I haven't messed around much with the ASB create a player, but I think there is a way to change skin tone and faces... maybe just skin tone. Body type would be cool, though.

How would you increase the free agent pool? I don't really understand that... there's plenty of people to choose from at each position. Some good, some bad... just like real life.

For the shifts it would be cool to move the entire infield towards one sid of the field for a dead pull hitter like they do sometimes in real life

I saw the Royals move Michael Tucker into the infield either a week or two ago in the game when Corey Koskie got hit in the chest with a throw.

I just felt foul balls would reduce the amount of home runs. I was pulling balls for HRs that were all ready by me in ASB.

The Create-A-Player mode only has skin tones, with one face per skin tone.

I do turn off the indicator and vibration but i was hoping for less accuracy but i suppose its alright.

Something I would love to see in a baseball game is when a player is having a hot game, say he's 3-4, his cursor will get bigger as the game goes on. And it will work the opposite way if he's 0-4. Get rid of the damn tilt in the cursor in ASB also. Trying to induce a DP by pitching low in the zone is futile with the tilt. If the ball hits the top half of the cursor it will be a fly, what a concept huh? This would also help reduce the number of homeruns. Shifting of players would be great too. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to play the left an right fielder straight away but slide the center fielder toward the gap. A general shift still leaves the gaps, they have just moved to the right or the left.
