What team should I support?

So guys, I may get a lot of hate for posting this, but I am just recently getting into baseball. I just can't seem to pick a team. Where I'm from we don't have a team.

I don't know why but I have recently started to watch baseball, and it seems I have a place in my heart for it. I'm looking to support a team that doesn't have a great roster at the moment but has potential to be great in a few years.

I'm assuming Vegas gets Diamondbacks games on TV? Maybe no team's?

You like the Giants, Celtics, and Flyers so a team with some tradition would probably be good for you. Not a great roster but has the potential to be? Hm. Maybe the Reds. In reality, you just have to watch as much as you can and you will gravitate towards a team naturally.

They've got a up-and-coming team that's currently first in their division, a good manager, have a budding star at first base in Paul Goldschmidt, an unexpected stud pitcher in Patrick Corbin, a supremely likable player in Martin Prado, cool uniforms, and perhaps best of all, they're getting to be strong rivals with the Dodgers. Since everything about Los Angeles can go **** itself, that's a good thing.

I'd just choose a team that you can actually see their games on TV. Unless you are gonna pay however much it is for MLB Extra Innings or something like that which lets you see every teams game all season long.


That's what I did for NFL, since I have no hometown(or country) team, I'm following 2 or so teams since I get most(if not all) their games on TV(without paying extra for a special NFL package)

You forgot to mention the defensive skills of my man AJ Pollock, who is from my hometown. I go to the same high school as AJ. He's been a joy to watch so far as well.

I'd say the Mariners. I'm suprised they haven't been better than they are the last 2 or 3 seasons. It'll click some time.

Based on where you're from, the A's and the Diamondbacks are your best options

Based on the TV map, Vegas is in Diamondbacks, Padres, Dodgers, Angels, A's, and Giants territory. See which ones you get on your local sports networks (if you have DirecTV, you should get them all). Go from there. Just watch some games.

Additionally, there is nothing that says you have to have a favorite team. You can just watch baseball period.

Cubs are on national TV (WGN) and Spring Training is in Mesa, AZ. So, yeah, the Cubbies are for you.

And just think you get your very own century to wait for a championship!

Just don't support the Yankees, Red Sox, and/or Dodgers... so mainstream....
