He may never admit he loves the spotlight but everyone around him says he thrives in it. Has been in derbys in Cuba so doesn't have first time jitters either.

Not a chance. None of the top guys who get paid millions per year would ever agree to doing that. Way too much of a risk throwing their arm out trying to win some exhibition over it.

Plus, as long as Chapman is still in the league, we already know who the winner would be.

The whole "Back-Back-Back-Back-Back" thing is so tired. If they want to freshen up the derby have someone else broadcast.

                  Re: All Star Events Thread

I'm on a bit of a tape delay so I'm avoiding what people are saying, but I've suggested this before and have to do so again:

                  - Maximum of three pitches per swing. If not swung at in three pitches, it's an automatic out.

Look, if you elect your pitcher, they better be able to throw it where you need it within that time. That might also get them to want to swing at the first good one they see before they're pressured to just swing at the good one.

Sorry, but this takes too long. Not for me to watch on TV, but damn that crowd must get restless when they watch so many pitches go by!

Agreed. I usually get bored after the first few batters. I woke up a bit for Cespedes but since then I've been somewhat bored.

                      Berman is famous for that...

They should bring in someone like Michael Kay or Glen Kuiper. "See ya!" Or " That baby is gone!" would get stuck in our heads.

Bryce Harper and I share the same birthday, October 16th. I won't tell you who is older and by how much.

The more I hear "BACKBACKBACKBACK" the more I want Berman to play the Penguin in a Batman movie.

                            Regardless, he still annoys me.
