It could've been worse!

The Jays originally were going to wear all black away unis. That hasn't been seen since the 1977 Chicago White Sox.

BTW I too am a big fan of the powder blue unis SOMEONE BRING THEM BACK!

The only revision I would make to those old powder blue unies was the belt. They had that striped band like those commonly seen in softball uniforms. If they would keep everything else the same but make the pants have a belt instead of that band, theyd be set.

I also agree with the poster who complained about black. This is why I put the Mets on my honorable mention. The thing about it is, I think the popularity of black has ended and marketing didnt get the memo. I remember when the White Sox went to the black unies around 90. That was the signal of popularity of black and at the time there was this whole rap influence beginning that was encouraging the use of black. But that was around 15 years ago and teams are still trying to cash in on it, wtf! Can you imagine if teams were still picking teal as they were when the SJ Sharks and the Charlotte Hornets emerged on the scene? Teal emerged THAT long ago as well.

Also, why must teams have pinstripes? Its like the way teams go when they cant think of anything better. I think there are two teams who have claims to pinstripes and thats the Yankees and the Cubs (and maybe the Phillies). Everyone else just needs to come up with something else.

Lex I occassionally browse a Logo enthusiast message board and there's a guy (actually the webmaster of the SSUR) into pantones. Anyways the new "in" colour is navy blue and the charcoal colour is starting to get some use.

They used to have like a mustard hat. Not quite gold and not quite yellow. It had a black 'P' and a black bill... Not sure if the batting helmets were that color though. It was a little bit earlier than the Stargell pic. I know they wore it during the 1971 World Series.

The only change that should be made is all the teams stop wearing the gray road jerseys
and switch to their team colors, nothing is worse than watching a team in white play against a team in gray.
