    Re: Supporting a \"dead\" team

Once again the "There's no hope for the Expos" disease....

wait...Livan Hernandez DIDN'T have a breakout year last year? Tony Armas DIDN'T start the year out like an ace? Zach Day DIDN'T prove himself to be a worthy starter? whats all this?? huh?? So you lost Javier and Vladimir, so what? In return you got Tony Batista, Nivk Johnson, and Carl Everett. Come on...you have one of the best bullpens out there, and if you deny that then you don't deserve to support your home team. They have a great chance, just not to do anything big this year...they could easily come in 3rd. I wouldn't be one bit suprised.

Well, Vazquez and Guerrero are both huge losses for any team, not just the Expos, but they do have young talent and can still be a decent team this year IF they can avoid the injury bug. They aren't deep enough to have Armas go down for the season again...

I would say Johnson, Batista, and Everett have the potential to be good, but I'm taking a wait andf see approach.

Root for the Marlins. We need as much support as we can get. March 15th is the deadline for the decision on the new stadium and if we dont get it, we might be in the same boat as expos fans. So hop aboard and welcome.
