What kind of $hit is that? How do you drop baseball and add GOLF and RUGBY? Who the hell watches this anyway? I really don't watch baseball in the olympics, but I know there are bragging rights when it comes to world baseball. As for Rugby, I'm not even going to talk about it.

I will boycott all olympic events if they get rid of baseball... that is just ridiculous to me. And some of the softball players are hot, out there in their shorts, sliding and throwing and catching and... oh, oh, oh!

Golf and rugby should both be Olympic sports. But so should baseball and softball. I don't understand how they can get rid of baseball if they're trying to modernize the games. Unless, of course, they're upset with the US being pretty damn good at something...

thats f-ing rediculous. I don't watch much Olympics as it is, I would stop all together if they did something that stupid.

I'd say they are doing it for TV ratings. They can show Gold (ala Tiger Woods) and get a ton of viewers compared to baseball.

Common sense says that both Rugby and Golf have more worldwide appeal than Baseball since its popularity is mainly confined to North and Central America, and parts of Asia. Common sense says that they don't design the Olympics with just Americans in mind.

Baseball has only been an official Olympic sport since 1992, so we lived a long time without it. I don't understand why they just can't add sports without taking some away.

Will Golf be like Tennis, where the top professionals don't take is seriously? Or Soccer for that matter, isn't usually just the under 23 guys, would they do the same for Rugby?
