    Re: All-Time Expo\'s Team

I'd put Chris Speier or Hubie Brooks as the Expos SS. I would also replace Langston and Johnson as SPs cuz they weren't there long enough and replace them with Dennis Martinez (how can you forget him?) and Charlie Lea.

Now for my Blue Jay team:

    1B Carlos Delgado
    2B Robbie Alomar
    SS Tony Fernandez
    3B Kelly Gruber
    LF George Bell
    CF Devon White
    RF Joe Carter
    DH Paul Molitor
    C Ernie Whitt
    SP Dave Stieb
    SP Jack Morris
    SP Jimmy Key
    SP Pat Hentgen
    RP Tom Henke

No love for Spike Owen as the Expos SS?, just kidding, anyway good choices. Sportsman, your all time Blue Jay team is pretty dead on,
lets try an all time Red Sox team,

      C Carlton Fisk
      1B Jimmy Foxx
      2B Bobby Doerr
      SS Nomar Garciaparra
      3B Wade Boggs
      OF Ted Williams
      OF Carl Yastrzemski
      OF Jim Rice
      DH Dwight Evans
      SP Roger Clemens
      SP Pedro Martinez
      SP Cy Young
      SP Luis Tiant
      RP Bob Stanley

The Expos have seen some really good players come thru Olympic Stadium, look at the bench you could build for that all time Expos team with players not on your list,

                  C Darrin Fletcher
                  IF Wil Cordero
                  IF Delino DeShields
                  OF Moises Alou
                  OF Marquis Grissom
                  OF Rondell White

Not to mention Cliff Floyd, Mark Grudzielanek, John Vander Wal, Greg Colbrunn. Mike Lansing, Ellis Valentine, Larry Parrish and many others, they have also had some good pitching come through the system as well, the Expos are one of the best teams in the league at developing major league players, for a while in the late '90's the Expos were starting to become a farm team for the rest of the league, once there ownership issues are resolved and they know where they will call home, hopefully this team can regain some of what made them a fun team to watch since there inception in 1969.

Yeah sadly the Expos have gone the "junk player" route the last few years because their farm system is so depleted. I just hope that when they find a home that ownership remembers what made this team so great.

The Expos really could've been a neat mini-dynasty if they were able to hang on to their players and there wasn't a strike in '94. Oh well you can't undo what's been done.
