    Who are you kidding?

OK, Ive seen a variety of people (Curt Schilling comes to mind) get on tv and iterate that they are striking for future players as have previous players for them. They object to the luxury tax and this was a major sticking point. They want to make exponentially more than they do already. We all understand that. OK, so the resolution they agreed to was on that implements the luxury tax gradually. Doesnt that screw over players in the future if it was something the current players found objectionable? In other words all this talk about doing it for future players was nonsense. The resolution that was reached only makes the players of today look even more greedy. Whos with me?

I think they are greedy and have no idea what reality is. But at the same time, I don't know what all is involved in the strike either.

Newsflash: Strike averted, players and owners come to an agreement, time to play ball!

We'll see if there's a strike in 2006, but for now, it's outta my mind completely. I just want to see a strong finish to the season and then all the drama that comes with MLB's franchise mode... will Maddux and Glavine re-sign with the Braves or will the Yankees tempt them away? Will the Expos move to DC? Yatta Yatta Yatta

Will Smoltzie get the save record? Will the Braves choke in the playoffs? So many un answered questions.

I think Smoltzie will set the NL record, and the Braves will make it to the series (against Oakland!!!)... the outcome of that series I will not tell. Don't want to jinx anyone.

I think they will go to the series too. Oakland vs. Atlanta would be a good one to watch. I just hate the Yankess and don't even care to watch them.

I pretty much hate the entire AL, but of all the teams, I could stomach watching Oakland play the most. They remind me alot of the Braves teams of the early '90's... the Young Guns.

My hope would be for Anaheim or Boston to get the wild card, leaving Seattle sitting at home all winter... Oakland against the Braves in the WS, with Atlanta winning in 6 or 7 on a dramatic Sheffield homerun or A. Jones diving catch. That would be the storybook ending.

yeah, and Andruw Jones home run saving catch to end the game !! I'll take a Sheffiled homer too. Or better yet, a A. Jones home run saving catch in the top of the ninth, then a Sheffield bomb in the bottom of the ninth to win it. !! Woo hoo.

                  Re: Who are you kidding?

I love watching the Yankees play, call me crazy. They have LOTS of my favorite players.

I just dont want the Red Sox to get in. Anyone else I'm fine with.

In preference of a Braves opponent should we get in the WS:

                  Yankees
                  Twins
                  A's
                  Anaheim (Seattle)
