I'm gonna root for the Rays, I think now if the Yankees have any chance at a Wild Card berth, it will be to catch the free falling Rangers. The Rays have been extremely sluggish too, but the Rangers are just hitting a wall it looks like.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out though, that 3 game series with NYY and TB could be the breaker though.
Yankees finally get a break from the the red hot Red Sox and head to Toronto for a three game set. Yankees better sweep these bums, but they probably won't. Then three more against the odd matchup which is the Giants, who are considerably hot right now, winning 7 out of their last 10, so that's not good.
I'm still believing in the Yankees, it's been a unrealistically trying year in more ways then one, but there still in it (barely.) I don't even know why I want to see them get into the playoffs really, sure there can be magic, but I doubt they go anywhere. The rotation and bullpen are in shambles, and we really don't have an ace right now. Sure they could beat a Cleveland or Baltimore team in a 5 game series. But, I doubt they could handle TB or Oakland (maybe). But, Boston and Detroit? Hell no.
Oh, and if Cleveland can't find their way in to this thing with that snuggle soft schedule coming up, then they are busters lol. I'm just rambling now, I just love baseball.
