Add San Diego Padres 1B Phil Nevin to the list, Nevin strained his left shoulder in sunday night's game and is expected to miss 4 weeks, Padres Manager Bruce Bochey does however expect Nevin to be ready by opening day.

Seems Nevin can never go through a few weeks without some kind of injury.

He can, if that was the case he'd wouldn't even have had 59 games last season.

it's three weeks, not four, if it was four it'd run through opening day.

Ironically the day he strains his shoulder is the same day last year he dislocated it, he's going to have constant shoulder problems.

Nevin needs to stop being aggressive on defense, I know it's good, but then if it's always leading to injury, just stop. It was good for last year when he came back after they told him NOT to dive for the ball.

Now if the Braves can just keep JD healthy, I'll be a happy guy.

Barry Bonds will be sidelined until at least monday after feeling pain in his back, the pain is caused by inflammation in the joint at the base of his spine.

Marlins 3B Mike Lowell had an elbow scan to rule out a stress fracture in his right elbow, he has inflammation, and plans to rest for the next several days.

Expos 3B Tony Batista has been diagnosed with Chicken Pox and will miss at least a week, the team is testing the other players in camp to make sure no one else has been infected.
