Re: The Aches and Pains of Spring

Barry Bonds will be sidelined until at least monday after feeling pain in his back, the pain is caused by inflammation in the joint at the base of his spine.

Marlins 3B Mike Lowell had an elbow scan to rule out a stress fracture in his right elbow, he has inflammation, and plans to rest for the next several days.

Expos 3B Tony Batista has been diagnosed with Chicken Pox and will miss at least a week, the team is testing the other players in camp to make sure no one else has been infected.

Boston Red Sox' Trot Nixon out untill may with a herniated disc in his back, Nomar Garciaparra is questionable for opening day with tendenitis in his right achillies tendon.

Baltimore Orioles IF Mark McLemore will miss 6-8 weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
