A lot of players hit homeruns in spring training not really the best gauge in baseball. Plus Almonte is an infielder. Wouldn't help the the right field situation anyways.

thats why i am saying that it is not a big deal that j.d. drew hit 3 homeruns.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Hopefully Drew can come into his own this year with the Braves. So far, so good huh?

Spring training means next to nothing, especially for hitters. I remember last year I watched some Red Sox spring training just because Manny was on a tear. I think he ended the spring batting around .450 with 9 or 10 home runs. Then he slumped big time when the regular season begane and it was about two weeks before he hit his first home run of the season. As a Braves fan, you better hope the same can't be said of Drew when the regular season starts. As for me, the Sox fan, I'm happy to see Manny hitting only .111 this spring!

BTW, Drew is up to 5 games and 5 homers. Not a bad start to spring.
