    sign Masahiro Tanaka.

    Get a new 2B.

maybe add a reliever or two.
I was hoping the Cubs would land Joe Girardi as their new skipper and was shocked he chose to stay in New York with the media circus.

In any event, with Epstein at the helm, its only a matter of time before the Cubs become serious contenders.

Only question, who are they going to have as a manager?

Rick Renteria & Manny Acta seems like the popular names. I think Dave Martinez will get into the mix as well.

Not to have Dusty Baker as the next manager of the Tigers....when I heard his name start surfacing, my reaction was basically "NOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!!!" (w/ progressively higher-altitude zoom-outs of my location)

As an A's fan, first thing on my wishlist is having key guys staying out of the trainer's room and playing a good amount of games...Having depth on paper is nice but it doesn't necessarily translate into production

                  1) Trade the Marlinator in left-center for a player to be named later.

                  2) A third-baseman to replace the aging Polanco. Zack Cox is not the future.

                  3) Convince Jose Fernandez to spend the next 8 years in Little Havana.

                  4) Sign Mariano Rivera as pitching coach! Can he still wear 42? lol

                  5) 80 wins. Screw baby steps.

Haha. Dusty Baker's penchant for trashing arms should meet a stiff challenge in Verlander. Classic unstoppable force meets immovable object scenario.

                            • Thank Halladay for the memories and move on.
                            • Keep Freddy Garcia at the MLB level and let him develop.
                            • Conversely, don't allow Michael Martinez to set foot on an MLB diamond again, let alone be in the clubhouse.
                            • Jettison Mayberry while you can still get something for him. Make sure the receiving team utilizes a very wide warning track.
                            • I wouldn't be opposed to signing Chris Perez.
                            • I'm sure there's more.....much more.

For the Cardinals, there are a lot of ways they could go this offseason and to be honest, I don't have the slightest idea what Mo will do. It all depends on Beltran.

                              If we keep him:

-Go sign Peralta or trade for Ramirez.

-Bring up Taveras to platoon with Jay in center.

                              -Trade Lynn for something, anything.

                              If we lose him:

-Don't know if its plausible but I would like to trade for a guy like Cody Ross. Always been a fan of his and he fits what we need. Veteran that hits lefties and plays the field pretty well.

-Get a SS somehow. Tulo would be great and I think we'd give up what it would take but I don't think the Rockies will want to trade him.

-If neither of these happen, make a run at Ellsbury. I don't believe his injury history is anything to worry about. The contract might hurt us towards the end but will help tremendously short term.
