Sox fans are bitter, and they have every right to be. They're a second class team with horrible ownership and fans that do nothing but embarass themselves. I'd be defensive if i was a Sox fan, too.

Second Class team? That's all fine and great, but its not like the Twins are some great organization either nowadays...

The two time defending division champions are heralded for playing the game right. Their farm system is ranked in the top 5 in baseball (#3 I've seen from a couple sources). That's not too bad for a small market team. The Sox are in the third largest market in America and haven't won the division in four years and have won of the poorest farm systems in baseball.

And as was said before, our ownership does suck but give credit to Terry Ryan for sculpting good teams for the last four years through the farm system while keeping that farm system stocked with plenty of talent. That's not an easy thing to do. When you think about small market teams who have had prolonged success in recent years you think of Oakland and Minnesota. Both Billy Beane and Terry Ryan are considered some of the top GMs in small markets.

The Twins today put Mauer on the D.L., he needs surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee, he will miss at least 3 weeks, so, right now that leaves the Twins with Henry Blanco and Matt LeCroy to do the Catching, i would not be surprised to see Mike DiFelice in a Twins uniform soon.
