Sometimes athletes can't kick the habit whether it's substance abuse or steroids so in that way I feel a bit sorry but he's had a lot of "2nd chances" and he blew it.

At least it's good to see that MLB is being more stringent regarding these things.

The article stated that last year when he left the team it was because of depression due to a serious illness in his family. I feel for him in that respect because he couldn't be with his family during that time. Not sure what exactly the problem was, but the team did allow him to be away so it must've been somewhat serious (such as a mother with cancer etc.....).

However, his problem with drugs is all on him. He had tons of talent and got messed up with the wrong stuff.

Hamilton's legacy is that of a lot of players: the can't miss prospect that never even makes it to the show.
