Mets lost 3-2 in 12 innings, after blowing a 9th innning lead. I love seeing them lose.

I thought for sure the Braves and Mets would be battling it out in final weeks of the season... they have a great team... on paper.

Goes to show what team chemistry means these days... you can put together an all-star caliber team, but if they don't have the chemistry and play like a team, you're screwed. The Braves went out and got guys like Matt Franco and Chris Hammond while the Mets got Alomar and Vaughn... and the Braves are over 20 games up on the Mets today. Go figure.

Yeah, the Mets go out and get players and sign them to big contracts. They kind of remind me of the Blazers of the MLB.

I think they almost have to fire Bobby V.

You can't put together a team like that and then post a losing, last place record without some heads rolling. It's like I said before the season started, though... they are the Texas Rangers of the NL. All offense and no pitching do not world champions make.

Definitely, and what gets you is how much money they are giving all these guys like Vaughn. Now I'm not cutting Vaughn or Piazza, but this team has hit rock bottom, it's time for someone new to be the manager.

I don't think a coaching change will do much. Like someone said earlier pitching is what wins you champtionships. Look at the Braves as a perfect example.

They really are a mystery to me. On paper, I thought they would be putting up SICK offensive numbers. C'mon, Cedeno, Alomar, Alfonso, Piazza, Vaughn, and Burnitz. But alas, they just haven't gelled. Scoring runs has still been a problem for them. You'd think that would be the least of their problems with a lineup like that.
