What can I say that hasn't been said?
well....Lou has officially done it:
The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are officially the Mariners of the East.

think about it. They've got all bases covered, every position has a great player for it and a decent backup incase they get injured. Pitching isn't GODLY, I'll admit that, but it can get the job done. If there's trouble you've got Halama and Abbot in the pen who can come on. Why do I call them the Mariners of the East? They will play in much the same way as the M's do. smallball, not all about hitting homers and junk, but about moving the runner over and using speed to get the runs. Lou has really made that team into a near duplicate, except with maybe a little less power. Just as you said MarWinner, if their pitching stays together they should do pretty well. What you have to dig your head out of the sand for is that the D-rays actually have a much better Pitching staff than the Orioles do, regardless of what any O's fan thinks. The Jays rely on an old untrustworthy vet in Hentgen to deliver as a starter, as you can clearly see, there are teams in the east that have a worse put together pitching squad than the D-rays. While the Jays have Halladay, Batista, and Lilly....what happens in the other two games?
