    Need a good pitching prospect....

Have a good team overall but looking for a pitcher to take Prior's place while he's on the DL. Any suggestions for someone who might be available? As you can see I have a TON of good closers...I'd like to pick-up a good SP for some wins/innings. I also might pick-up a closer (if there are any who might be available) to fill Nen's spot while he's out.

    Here are my current pitchers:

    D. Willis (Fla - SP)
    J. Williams (SF - SP)
    K. Foulke (Bos - RP)
    K. Farnsworth (ChC - RP)
    J. Borowski (ChC - RP)
    R. Biddle (Mon - RP)
    E. Jackson (LA - SP)
    M. Prior (ChC - SP)
    R. Nen (SF - RP)

I wouldn't call your closers that good. Nen's on the DL, Biddle was very erratic last year and Ayala is ready to step in if he falters early. And from what I hear, Borowski will be on a short leash as well. The only closer that can bring in a good SP, not great, is Foulke. Personally, I don't think he's worth giving up since your other closers are surrounded by question marks.

Edwin Jackson might begin the season in Triple-A due to the fact that there won't be a need for a 5th starter very often in April.

It's hard to make suggestions without knowing who else is available. Try Carlos Silva. He'll be the 4th starter on a good team, and he's looked great all spring. I'd consider him a sleeper. Also, Brett Myers if nowone has him. Rich Harden is another gamble that might pay off.

If you're looking for FA closers that might be available, try Joe Nathan, Octavio Dotel, Arthur Rhodes and Danny Kolb. I assume one of them has to be available

Biddle saved something like 33 last year...to me that's good.

Borowski is not on a short leash at all...at least no IMO and not from anything I've read. A lot of reporters are speculating about that but it's not true at all...there's a good article on Cubs.com about it.

Foulke isn't great but he's better than just 'good.' He had something like 40 saves last year.

Between my closers I have potential for about 120 saves. The only question mark is Nen but we'll see how he does.

As far as the other guys others suggested, Harden is taken but I'll look into the other ones. Thanks for the suggestions!
