What a way to open the season. I think our offense is going to be very, very good. BLaw threw way too many pitches early on, but once he got that sinker going, he looked pretty good. I can't believe how many runners the dodgers left on...we gotta be tighter in giving up the hits when we start to face good teams.

It's 1 game out of 162 man. If they give up 15 hits a game in the next 5 games then start to worry. I really hate when fans talk like this in the first 20-30 games of the season. Why don't we turn it around the other way and look at the positive aspects of the game the same way? Gosh I hope Nevin stays on this pace, he'll have 162 jacks this year.

Hey, I absolutely agree with you. It's just you don't see a club get more hits then the other team and still lose very often, that's all. I'm pretty positive they aren't going to give up 15 hits every game, I'm just trying to say it's something they should focus on. As far as the positives- Nevin and Loretta look to be locked on right now. Payton going yard was sweet...hopefully after a few more of those and we can put that "He only hits HR's at Coor's" theory to rest. I liked Robsinson's slap hit and quick moves on the basepaths. Burroughs looks like a natural lead off hitter in his first year at it. I can see him at .400+ OBP by the end of the year. Our bullpen was off and on, but they got the outs when they needed them and 1 run in 4 innings is great, I'll take that every game.
That enough positives for you?
