TWINS- Have won the division the last two years in a row and probably are the favorites once again this year. However, they got picked apart via free agency. They lost a lot of pitching, as well as their all star catcher A.J. Piersenski. They still have a lot of talented young position players, so as long as they hit, they should be in a lot of games.
ROYALS- Should pick up where they left off last year, I definently think they are on the rise. They have got a powerful offense in Mike Sweeney, Carlos Beltran, and Juan Gonzalez. But the starting pitching is a huge question mark, they have already lost three of their projected starters to injury before the season even started.
WHITE SOX- I'm really not sure with them, as guess they could go either way. They really didn't do anything in the off-season. Their lineup is decent, but not great. Definetly some holes in their pitching staff as well. I still see them as making some noise in the division though.
INDIANS- Ahh, my poor tribe, how the mighty have fallen. Will not score enough runs(just like last year) no true leadoff hitter, no cleanup hitter. In the AL, you must score runs to win. Some nice, and potentially very good young pitching. Not enough position players who can hit.
TIGERS- I think you can flip flop the Indians and Tigers 4th and 5th either way in the AL Central. They helped themselves in the free agent market, it's a good mixture of veterans and rookies. Their gonna have to hit though, cause the pitching is very green.
What do you guys think?
