    Little Unit?? (No pun intended)

Sorry if I'm just out of the loop, but I remember a few years back, that the Seattle Mariners had some kid in their farm system and were grooming him as the "Little Unit," to replace Randy Johnson. I read an article about him in SI, saying how he was tall and scrawny, with a deadly heater and cutter like Johnson...but I forgot his name. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? And where (or if) he is still playing? Thanks!

if i can recall, his name was Ryan Anderson - 6'10''.. he suffered through arm surguries the past two years where he missed all or parts of seasons.. i do beleive the Mariners waived him..

          That sounds about right.

He was cocky, and Mariner fans were hopeful. Never turned out.

Ryan Anderson is listed on the Triple A roster for the M's still.

                      He's rehabbing yet again.

It doesn't look good. Not at all.
