                MLBPA would totally fight it, MLBPA would fight about whether water is wet and that's fine, that's their job. Just because some players in the union are mad at them doesn't mean those others players lose the protections afforded by the Union.

                        How would cheating be protected?

                        Furthermore, why would MLB give players immunity to find out the truth? That's insane.

                            Uhm...how else is MLB going to find out if the players don't talk? This happens all the time; give us info on the racket and we'll offer you immunity. You think the players are going to confess the information without an offer of immunity?

                                                        Basic investigation work. Anyone who has a lick of law would know this. I forgot the exact term for this.

                                                        Edit: Looks like "Transactional Immunity". Still looking for the term of getting lower level crimes for the big boys.
