    Re: MLB Off-Topic

If you get multiple foul/home run balls or something or are a real regular attender of games, then that might be diff. If it's a situation like one I might be in one day where I catch a ball for the first time, I'm not giving it up. Times afterwards I'd have no problem though, but first time whenever it happens,I'd wanna keep it.

The real understandable one though is gameday giveaways. Lets say a team gives away bobbleheads, hats or something. I've actually had some people come up to me and ask if they could have my giveaway......If I had multiple then sure(assuming it's a giveaway that won't make a difference having multiple since I can't give it to someone I know),but I didn't. Not to mention they were still giving away that item at the gate, so the people asking either went to a gate that was all out,or were just being greedy.

To this day though, it's still my fave giveaway I've ever gotten in all the years I've gone to a game. I actually went to the game that day specifically for the giveaway since it was a commemorative baseball that was only given out to fans in attendance(and had the date on it too)

I don't really see the point of keeping a random foul ball. I know it would mean a lot more to a kid, so if I ever caught one I'd definitely give it away.

I'd like to know when Philly is getting an All-Star Game again. 1996 was the last time. Maybe it's because the Home Run Derby would never end.

They better go on some sort of AL streak after this. Jays getting new field in 2018(and haven't hosted since 91), so 2019 would be nice time to host ASG. O's haven't hosted since 93, so give them it in 2020. Rangers haven't since 95,so give them 2021.

A's prob won't get one until they have a new stadium.

After seeing what NBA did for NY/Brooklyn, I wonder if MLB would ever consider doing the same for some cities. I know it'd require slightly extra travel but still.....Lets say a ASG is in Chicago. We have HRD at White Sox stadium and ASG at Cubs stadium. Better than having 2 in same city in short time(like when we had 2 in NY in a 6 year timespan),or waiting a long time for one stadium to have ASG(like Dodgers Stadium having to wait even longer now since Angels got one in 2010).

                    Hopefully not 2019

Actually I heard Baltimore and Toronto are in on that. I'll try to find the link to that story..

I would definitely make the trip to Baltimore if they get an ASG. Only takes me less than 3 hours to get there.

Really hope that's true. Whoever doesn't get 2019 should get 2020.

Toronto hosting NBA ASG in 2016. NHL stuff likely in 2017. And by 2019 the new Jays field would have been out for over a year already(so any problems that might have happened during season with field in 2018 could be fixed by then).

Why does it matter what league's city hosts the All Star game?
