I'm watching Yu Darvish's almost Perfect Game. He made it 8 2/3 innings. Then gave up 2 hits before closing it out.

Whoever wrote that article is a damned fool. I stopped after he went on about how nobody feared La Russa when he wore the other uniforms. I grew up watching him manage those Oakland A's teams and let me tell you, they WERE feared. It was also in Oakland that he really developed the micromanaging and bullpen management that is the hallmark of his career.

I actually applaud La Russa for wanting to go in with a blank baseball cap.

Did someone say Tony La Russa?

And speaking of Chicago, and Hall of Fame, and caps, and plaques, and no logos, and other stuff, Greg Maddux will not have a logo on his cap on his plaque.

Wow La Russa looks so silly!

Interesting that Maddux opted not to have a logo on his cap. His reasoning seems sound I guess but really I don't think Cubs fans would go up in arms if he went in as a Brave.

My favorite part of the La Russa picture is who's interviewing him.

I kinda want to know how much it cost, just in case I win the lottery lol.

                        This man is my hero!

I have a great appreciation and love for that stadium so seeing this was pure joy. This must've cost an arm and a leg to do though.

Tim Flannery, the Giants' third-base coach and musician, presented the family of Bryan Stow with $96,000 during the weekend to help with his care as he continues to deal with traumatic injuries and brain damage from being severely beaten.

Pitcher protective hats were approved by MLB today but they aren't "major league ready" yet according to Brandon Mccarthy. Too thick, too heavy, too hot. To noticeable basically. He won't wear one.

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Brandon McCarthy told ESPN.com that even though he was seriously injured when he was hit in the head by a line drive 16 months ago, he won't wear the MLB-approved padded cap.
